Doctor en Historia del Arte. Profesor Titular y Director del Departamento de Artes Integradas de la Universidad de Playa Ancha y Profesor Adjunto de la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Es Miembro Correspondiente de la Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes de Argentina. Autor y coautor de una decena de libros, entre los que destacan Patrimonio Local (2004), Post Patrimonio (2012), Patrimonial (2017) y Variaciones Patrimoniales (2022).
